CREAMY KALE & AVO-BANANA GREEN SMOOTHIE

What best way to incorporate these highly nutritious foods into your diet than blending them up into a delicious smoothie. You don't even know what all goodness you fed your body and soul. The bitter taste of the greens just hides somewhere beneath the sweetness from the banana and the greek yogurt(i used vanilla flavor).

Let's talk about the fruits we'll be using for this recipe -

KALE-

Of all the super healthy greens, kale is king. It is definitely one of the healthiest and most nutritious plant foods in existence. Kale is a popular vegetable and a member of the cabbage family. Kale is much higher in vitamin C than most other vegetables, containing about 4.5 times much as spinach. Today we do need more foods rich in vitamin C to boost our immune system.

BANANA-

Bananas are one of the world's most appealing fruits. They are enjoyed wholeheartedly by the young and the old. Bananas are high in potassium and pectin, a form of fiber. They can also be a good way to get magnesium and vitamins C and B6.

"Bananas are known to reduce swelling, protect against developing type 2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, strengthen the nervous system, and help with the production of white blood cells, all due to the high level of vitamin B6 that bananas contain,".

AVOCADO-

Avocados are a stone fruit with a creamy texture that grows in warm climates. Their potential health benefits include improving digestion, decreasing the risk of depression, and protecting against cancer. Avocados are nutrient rich- Avocados are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They also provide lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3fatty acids. It's healthy for the heart, great for vision, good prevention against cancer, lower the risk of depression, improves digestion, and is also good for babies.

GREEK YOGURT-

Greek yogurt differs from other yogurts because it goes through a straining process to remove the whey. Whey is a liquid that contains lactose, a natural sugar found in milk. Strained Greek yogurt is lower in sugar than regular yogurt. Removing the whey produces a thicker, creamier yogurt with a tart taste. The potential health benefits of Greek yogurt include:

Eating Greek yogurt may improve bone health, as it is rich in calcium and protein.

Greek yogurt is protein-rich, so it may help people feel fuller for longer. Research suggests that people may eat less throughout the day after a meal that is high in protein.

Eating Greek yogurt, as part of a balanced diet that includes enough protein, fibrous carbohydrates, and healthful fats may aid weight loss and boost metabolism.

Research suggests that consuming probiotic yogurt is beneficial for a person's mental health.

Greek yogurt may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, a condition that affects how the body processes blood sugar.

Milk and honey are both a source of many essential nutrients for the body. When combined together, they have numerous health benefits, from improving the health of your skin and hair to helping in digestion, sleep disorders, stamina and bone health.

WoW! You see how these tiny little fruits could in return provide so much of good health to your body. So, here in this recipe, I am using all of the above mentioned wholesome fruits blend with milk and greek yogurt. Smoothies are more of a meal than just a drink. It helps you go through the day with a boost of energy.
