It's world chocolate Day today! And It's the peak of summers! So, my kids came up with an idea of cooling the summer with there favorite - CREAMY CHOCO-POPSICLE!
There had to be at least one such member in the family who is a chocolate-addict. Well, we have one too but couldn't let him have all the fun. Taking this to their good-sweet-opportunity my kids almost convinced me to make their choco-popsicle. It's a super simple recipe and my kids took it to their advantage and helped give it a try to make it on their own. I must say they did a pretty good job!
So, let's get to the making of this easy but not-so-sweet recipe of creamy choco-popsicles.
CREAMY CHOCO-POPSICLES
Prep Time: 10 minutes Freezing Time: 6 hours Total Time: 6hours 10 minutes
Author: Aaisha
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup coconut cream or plain yogurt
3 tbsp milk of your choice
5-6 tbsp chocolate chips
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp sweetener of your choice, such as honey or maple syrup
1/4 tsp of salt
Instructions
If you want the popsicles without the classic tart yogurt flavor, use coconut cream in place of yogurt.
Carefully melt the chocolate chips.
Combine all ingredients until smooth.
You can use a hand blender to smoothen the mix and to ensure no lumps remain.
Taste and add more sweetener if needed- you want the mixture to taste a little too sweet, as sweetness level decreases once frozen.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze.
After about 1/2 an hour insert the popsicle sticks and return back to the freezer.
Enjoy!
